It certainly helps to have an initial idea of what the tool is otherwise it may remain a mystery forever, so while I have your attention, here’s a 140 character or less description:
Netvibes is a webpage that you can easily personalize to gather information that is most important to you. You can also share your webpage.
So what do you like to find out about when you go to the Internet? Perhaps it’s the weather or perhaps it’s the work of colleagues in your field. If the information has a’feed’, then you can add it to your personal webpage. When you set this webpage to be the start page of your browser, life becomes even easier. All you need to do to get the latest updates from your favorite sources is to open your browser. More soon on how to use this tool with students, but why not pay it a visit, add a few widgets, and subscribe to the feed from this blog. (Just click on the rss icon).
