Important Dates and Deadlines

This section provides important dates and deadlines for all students.

October 26 – Registration begins for Spring 2010 for all other UM Students. Spring 2010 priority registration runs according to an alphabetical schedule from October 26 through November 6.

November 2 – Last day to use drop/add form to change autumn 2009 registration. A $10 charge is assessed per drop and per add. Grades appear on transcripts as W. Grades do not impact GPA.

November 3 – Petition form required to change autumn 2009 registration. Change to students’ registration requires Petition to Change Registration form, with Dean’s signature required. A $10 charge is assessed per drop and per add. Grades appear on transcripts as WP, withdraw passing, or WF, withdraw failing. Grades do not impact GPA.

November 6 – Third deferred payment for autumn 2009 due.

November 11 – Veteran’s Day holiday. No classes held. UM offices are closed.

November 25 – Thanksgiving Vacation begins: Travel day for students. No classes held, but UM offices are open for business.

November 26-27 – Thanksgiving holiday. No classes held. UM offices are closed.

November 30 – Spring 2010 registration bills available on Cyberbear.

December 4 – Last day to withdraw from all courses for autumn 2009. See the Registration Counter in Griz Central.

December 11 – Last day to petition to change autumn 2009 course registration.

December 11 – Last day of classes for autumn 2009.

December 12-13 – Study Days.

December 14-18 – Final examinations for autumn 2009.

December 25 – Christmas holiday. UM offices are closed.
