There will be a number of short network outages on Wednesday, July 22 beginning at 5:10 a.m. and continuing through 6:20 a.m. The outages will be in the following order:
From 5:10 a.m. to 5:40 a.m.
- UM to/from the Internet, Internet 2, State of Montana, MSU, will be unavailable for approximately 12 minutes (including home VPN users)
- Access to and from all remote campus locations will be unavailable for approximately 6 minutes
- All buildings south of Oval network outage for approximately 6 minutes (except dorms)
From 6 a.m. to 6:20 a.m.
- Exchange email system on the main campus will be taken off line to prevent damage to mail system
- All buildings north of Oval network outage for approximately 6 minutes (except dorms)
- LA basement server room (all servers and services will be unavailable during this time) approximately 6 minutes
- Exchange email system will be brought back up online (should be available again by 6:20 a.m.)
