Yep, we are nearing that time again during the great Griz fall football season when our Grizzlies of the University of Montana take on the MSU bobcats in the annual “brawl of the wild”. This will be the 108th renewal of this Big Sky Classic.

The members of the Griz Nation in South and South Central Texas will join with our cross state MSU friends one more time to enjoy this storied rivalry again this year.
The UM Alumni Association is once again sponsoring and coordinating the National Satellite feed and we will be having it in Austin Texas again this year.We will be gathering on November 22, 2008 at 1:05 PM Central Standard Time for a great time rooting for our nationally ranked Griz. You will be seeing “old “friends, making new ones, enjoying an adult beverage or not, and having lunch in a really nice location if you like. You will also make some new friends with bobcat fans.

We urge you to keep November 22nd open for this great event that has seen increasing attendance until we had about 120 fans equally divided between The Griz Nation and the MSU fans in 2007.

The location is: the Cool River Café, 4001 W. Parmer (sic) Lane, Austin, TX. It is in the North Part of Austin an easy to locate. Their phone number is:  (512) 835-0010. They have a great website: http://www.coolrivercafe.com. This is a smoke free and child/grandchild friendly location.

The UM Alumni Association will be sending out a brochure advertising this fun event in the near future.
